The Untied States of America is dead

Here in Ohio we can now carry concealed weapons in a bar.
Here in Ohio a woman will no longer have the rights to her own body
Here in Ohio Teachers, police officers and firemen along with hundreds of other state workers will be let go.
Here in Ohio the state will discourage higher learning by cutting grants for college freshmen.
Here in Ohio a union worker (what’s left of them) will no longer be able to barter for a better wage.
Here in Ohio safety nets such as social welfare, food stamps and Medicaid will be slashed, while corporate welfare will be increased.

Oh, the winds of corporate fascism are blowing hard here and it’s being churned by the misguided and ignorant teabaggers who believe that they will not be touched by the storm they’ve created. A tornado of propaganda threatens to destroy what is left of this once great democracy.

Hate fueled by fear and powered by ignorance has led us to this place. The dawning of a new America that will be ran by a CEO and a Board instead of a President and a congress has arrived. The change has been long in its coming. Ronald Reagan stuck the first forks into democracy in the 80’s and Bush carved it to pieces in the 2000’s.

I no longer recognize this country. And if you think this is isolated to one or to or three states you are sadly mistaking. Neoconservatives and teabaggers everywhere have accomplished their mission. The Untied States of America is dead.

  1. What is dying is your preception of it. It’s interesting to me that we both feel the same way of how we’re losing America and from opposite ends of the sprectrum. We’re either both right or both wrong and it’s only viewed as our preceptions.

    • Mike, My perception on these things haven’t changed in 30 years. I saw the dismantling of the fairness doctrine in the 80′s as a threat to democracy. I saw Reagan’s union busting as a threat to the middle class. I listened to Rush Limbaugh everyday since he first aired and could see right through the propaganda. I saw Bush’s false wars and over spending and a sign of something very sinister on the horizon.
I saw the Neoconservatives take over the tea party and knew this monster would not stop until it has won or was exposed. So, when I see a tea partier condemn Obama’s spending while praising Bush in the same breathe I can tell I’m witnessing hypocrisy with an agenda.
The war on the middle class is undeniable and to me the unions represent the middle class. I don’t understand how anyone could spin it any other way.

  2. you can’t run government like a business, sounds good in theory. in business, if a product you produce costs too much to make or sell, you can discontinue it. in government, the things its required to provide usually don’t make money or break even.

    • Uncle, even if you can run it like a business I think 8 years of Bush, Enron,, etc proves that it’s simply too risky and the CEO’s are drunk with power with no one to answer to.

  3. I feel like we are living in the era that they don’t show us in those dark futuristic movies like Blade Runner… The period of time just before the whole thing went to hell… Yes I blame the GOP and Justin Bieber
